Habanot Nechama

Habanot Nechama is made up of three beautiful, experienced singers, Karolina, Dana Adini and Yael Deckelbaum. Habanot Nechama is a live band in the deepest sense, having built a huge and very dedicated following before ever releasing even one single.
No one could possibly have predicted the enormous success HaBanot Nechama found with their eponymous debut album. The August 2007 release went gold after only three weeks, and platinum immediately afterwards. All concerts on the first Israeli tour were quickly sold-out with an unprecedented demand by European summer festivals.
The girls received great media exposure, topping the radio charts for several weeks, and eventually receiving a nomination for the “Best New Act” award at the Israeli Music Channel Annual Awards. And was named “Act of the Year” in DJ Ha’ir magazine. Reggae influences, soul-folk melodies, one of a kind harmonies and impeccable song-craft are highlights of this perfect showcase of how English and Hebrew can co-exist.

HEALTH feat. Tape Deck Mountain

Presented by: AS Concerts and Events
The niche of the LA noise rock world has finally broken out with the help of one of its greatest and most energetic bands, HEALTH. With a huge fan base originating from LA’s music venue, The Smell, the band’s profile has risen considerably thanks in part to the chart-topping mix with Crystal Castles and relentless touring with the likes of Nine Inch Nails and Of Montreal. HEALTH makes an excellent musical impression with their aggressive, loud, and almost esoterically beautiful noise rock with their two album releases. Though, if their studio tracks didn’t provide enough audio energy for you, HEALTH’s upcoming live performance at The Loft is by no means an experience to be missed.
This night also features San Diego locals Tape Deck Mountain. Ghost is the debut album from Tape Deck Mountain, project of San Diego native, Travis Trevisan. After being laid off from his job almost a year ago, Trevisan took full advantage of his free time in crafting Tape Deck’s collection of slacker-fuzzed lullabies. Ghost takes the listener on a journey from lo-fi to hi-fi; from quiet hushes to loud guitar sonics. Influences include the likes of Phil Elverum and My Bloody Valentine. The full-length record was released November 17, via indie record label, Lefse and can be purchased in US independent record stores and all major digital retailers. Ghost is the follow up full-length to TDM’s EP Sparks, which was released on the unconventional, but quite fitting medium, the cassette tape.
